Mac Tip: Access Network Shares From Your Desktop

Hav­ing setup a local NAS, I wanted to have easy access to the mount points.  It turns out Finder has an option to dis­play net­work shares on the Desk­top.  Pretty neat!

Access network shares from Mac desktop

  1. Open Finder
  2. Select Pref­er­ences
  3. Enable Con­nected Servers
  4. You should be able to see your net­work shares on the desktop.
