I formatted my drive into two partitions, one fat32 and the other ntfs. I can mount my fat32 partition easy enough in tomato, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access the drive from my computer. I am using windows 7 ultimate 64bit with the Asus 520gu. Ive gone under network and see the router itself and that is it. Clicking on the router just brings up access denied. Can anyone help me get this working?

Thank you in Advance,
Tim

Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for posting this.

I played around with this camera for 2 hours until I found your website. I reset my router and my camera. Followed your instructions step by step and 10 minutes later, it's working.

Great Guide.

Please add step N1 to tell everyone to choose "Restore to default settings" as that is not the default in DD-WRT and if you don't you'll see all the password problems everyone is having here.

While you're at it you could tell them all in step B to "Run as Admin" the Asus restore util in Vista.

Those are the only two issues I had.

Great write up!!! The info is much appreciated especially for someone who is familiar with computers but hates all the technical stuff and just wants things to work right!!!

One question...how do you read/write files to and from your ext3 formatted network drive using MAC (or windows in my case)? I have the same setup and would like to read/write files to the ASUS USB network connected drive but I want to do it from windows AND have the entire drive formatted as ext2. Does anyone have any advice on how best to do this?

Thanks again!!!

Yes, I did. I had to reset the unit a few times and finally when I went into the set up, it finally worked.

Good luck.

I just notice that there's another post underneath written by Rodalli. If you can't telnet to the IP address, you can try a NVRAM clear process mentioned by him. Good luck!

You should be able to go back to dd-wrt firmware by using the firmware restoration utility. If you can login to dd-wrt, your router has nothing wrong. The telnet step must be done in dd-wrt firmware, before you flashing the tomato firmware. Next, just follow my post to get the password and see if that'll work.

@Johnny
I can't login into the web interface. I tried to telnet to the IP address and it keeps telling me that the login is incorrect.
I thought that I had bricked my router until I read your comment. Any ideas on what I can do?
Thanks!
